4th of July

Before I talk about 4th of July cookies, I have to show you this adorable duck. I tweaked the design by adding a wing and sanding sugar. Adorable!

Since this was a very small order, I packaged the cookies in a smaller box.

The good thing about 4th of July is that the designs can be very simple, only three icing colors and I get to use a lot of sanding sugars and nonpareils.

I made up a bunch of stars to photograph for the website gallery. There were plenty of cookies to make two cookies trays - one for my work and one for Jeff's work.

I received an order from my very best customer for her son's 1st birthday. She wanted #1's in red, white and blue. Jeff got a picture of me in action - flooding the # 1's.
The colors turned out fabulous on this collection, especially the blue.
My customer only wanted # 1's but I am surprising her with a bunch of stars too.
All packaged up and ready for pick-up!
Wishing everyone a very happy and safe 4th of July!
