Turkeys, Babies & Cupcakes, Oh My!

My first large Thanksgiving order is complete and has been delivered...and I have 6 more for next week (I slipped in another order). These cookies are such a breeze! I have to admit, out of all the cookies I have decorated, the Turkey may just be my favorite. But, this little guy would not be my favorite if it had not been for Bridget at Bake at 350. Bridget posts how-to's and pictures on her blog and I utilized her design for the turkey. Thank you Bake at 350!! I was truly stumped when I first started designing my Thanksgiving collection and this helped me tremendously!

As you may or may not know...red is one of the hardest colors to make. So, instead of stressing myself out, I decided to mix red with a touch of brown to make a rustic red color. I love how this color turned out and think it is very appropriate for fall. Here is the entire collection:

Two nights ago I received yet another baby shower order. Tis the season for babies!! :)

Today, I will be delivering these baby cookies.

Thursday was one of my co-worker's birthday. We put together a little celebration for her. I made cupcakes. I cheated and used a box mix. But, I did make cream cheese frosting. Now, you would think if I can decorate cookies, I could pipe frosting. Not so much. I couldn't get two cupcakes to look a like. I wanted my frosting to look like the cupcakes I buy from Cami Cakes. The frosting seems to be a lot more fluffy than my frosting.

It could be the recipe I have. If any one has a good frosting recipe for cupcakes....please share!!! This is the recipe I used:

1 stick of butter
1 package of cream cheese
2-3 cups of confectioners sugar
1 tp vanilla
