Sunday, I planned to spend the day making cookies, but as I pulled cutters together to make a "collection" I realized I didn't have all the cutters I needed. How this is possible is beyond me, since I have over 300 cutters. As a result, I ordered another 20 cutters from my favorite cookie cutter company - Off The Beaten Path (http://www.cookiecutter.com/). The cutters should arrive within the week. The next collections will include Hawaiian Luau, Cape Code, Nautical, and Poker Night.
A couple of weeks ago I was asked if I could make a cookie with the UNF Osprey. Knowing that I am not at all artistically inclined, I gave it a shot. It was quite the challenge, but I think for my first attempt they came out okay...and it landed me an official order. I will continue practicing though to ensure I provide a professional quality cookie.

Last week, in honor of 4th of July, I made patriotic cookies. It was a very simple concept but received raving reviews. Unfortunately, making the color red is quite difficult. More practice is needed in the mixology department.

I signed up for a cake decorating class through JoAnn Fabrics that I think will help me with diffirent techniques. The class begins July 10th and is a series of four classes. Although I continue to make progress with each batch of cookies, I do feel some professional guidance is needed.
