A Rainy Saturday....

Last night we had a terrible thunderstorm. As we sat on the porch watching the rain, lightning hit and created a loud boom. It scared us and the girls half to death. We figured it hit somewhere in our neighborhood. This morning we discovered the lightning hit a Pine tree a couple houses down from us. The bark was shaved off the tree and scattered all over the road. There is a line up and down the entire tree where the lightning hit.

After running errands and having lunch, I decided to start baking. I made three batches of cookies in order to make Hawaiian and Nautical themes.


While the batter chilled in the fridge, we took the girls for a walk. Walking two small dogs at 1 p.m. in Florida heat is a big mistake. Sabrett literally fell over and could not handle the heat. Elliot had just as much trouble. When we got home, the girls drank an entire bowl of water, ate ice cubes and passed out!


Another thunderstorm has rolled in! I will probably start decorating tonight or tomorrow....To be continued.....
