Delivery Day

Seven hours later, an anxiety attack and pure exhaustion, I have completed my first two official cookie orders. They made it to UNF in one piece and they look great, if I say so myself. It was a lot of fun making these cookies, but I never imagined I would be so stressed. It is a completely different ball game when you have paying customers. Tons of "what if's" run through your mind - What if I mess up? What if the cookies break? What if the customer is dissatisfied? Surely these questions will soon subside when I gain more confidence in my work.

This is a custom UNF cookie bouquet that was part of one of the orders:
Here are the actual cookie collections I made. One is an assortment of various cookies and the other is of daisies, which I have decided will be a signature collection of La Belle Cookie. Instead of sending flowers, you can send a box of edible flowers :)

Yesterday we had a wonderful office pot luck. The food was just amazing. I made a fruit tart from the Barefoot Contessa cookbook.
Fresh peaches, blueberries, raspberry preserves and homemade pastry cream and tart shell. Delish!
