Birthday Festivities

This past weekend, Jeff & I threw a Luau themed party for my 30th birthday. Now let me clarify....we did not roast a pig in the backyard or have Hawaiian dancers....nothing like that. There were Luau decorations and we used a lot of pineapple and coconut in the food. :)

First, I must show off the fabulous invitation my friend Julie created for me (with some info deleted).

The girls actually wore leis during the entire party....and did not fuss one time.

How fabulous are these napkins Emily found? They stand up!
This was the first time I made a watermelon fruit bowl and used a melon baller! Super simple and fun! Of course, Hawaiian themed cookies....

Frozen Blue Hawaiian drinks.

I neglected to take pictures of the main course which consisted of two different types of kabobs - steak and chicken with coconut rice.

And a surprise from Jeff......this cake! How amazing is he???

My birthday party was amazing! My friend, Vicky and hubby John flew down from Chicago to surprise me! Seriously...left me in tears!

And, the night ended with a fireworks show, compliments of Emily & Erik.
