Weekend Fun

Our weekends are usually the same - run errands, eat out, and relax. This weekend was different because we actually had plans and fun things to do.

Jeff got back into town Friday night which was nice because I was super bored with out him. He had a couple of packages waiting for him and unbeknownst to me one of the packages was a surprise for me. It was Tiffany's!!!!! This is a piece I have been eying ever since it came out about a 1 1/2 ago. How amazing is Jeff????

Saturday we ventured out to the San Marco Art Festival. I rarely go to an art festival with the intention of buying anything, I merely go to window shop. However, we came across Jimmy Ellis Art and couldn't resist buying this piece of art. Of course it is a print because I didn't dare check the price of the original that was on display. It's Sabrett and Elliot....

The new piece of art fits perfectly in the kitchen.

After the art festival I took Jeff to the Secret Garden for lunch. This is girly place that I have been going to ever since I moved to Jacksonville. Of course Jeff asked if guys are allowed in this place. Girly aside, they have fabulous food and amazing sweet potato chips.
I had my usual....turkey and bacon sandwich.

Jeff tried the meatloaf sandwich.
You can't go to the Secret Garden without getting desert. All of their deserts are homemade and delish! However, I was severely disappointed with the chocolate hazelnut cake. I'm afraid it was left over from Friday because it was pretty dry and just tasted old. I was not a happy camper!
That evening we enjoyed game night with Emily & Erik, with a Hawaiian themed dinner.

For desert, I made Grilled Pineapple With Vanilla Ice Cream and Rum Sauce and added toasted coconut.

Can't forget about the Flirtini's!

We planned to go to a UNF baseball game on Sunday, but prepping for the tile installation on Monday took longer than we had anticipated. We had to move the washer, dryer, fridge and stove out of the kitchen and then had to remove the pedestal sink and toilet in the 1/2 bathroom. We also had to install a new door frame around the half bath since Elliot demolished the other one. Of course, we ran into problems along the way....
Before the stove was removed I made a tray of cookies for some coworkers as a thank you for their help on a project. I made macaroons and ice cream cone cookies.

Can you send me the Flirtini recipe. I think it has pineapple juice, but I don't know the proportions.
Thx!
