Bee Sting

On Sunday, I was outside in my little garden area doing some regular pruning when OUCH, a bee stung me! I looked down and the stupid little thing was sting danging from my arm. I pulled out my handy dandy first aid kit and used some sting relief and that was it. I didn't think anything of it.

Yesterday at work it started itching. Last night after I got out of the shower, I noticed the area was pretty red. Well, when I got in to work this morning my entire bicep was red and swollen. I was able to see the doctor and it turns out that I have cellulitis....and infection of the skin. However, the doctor wasn't able to rule out an allergic reaction so I am being treated for both. I have never had a reaction to a bee sting like this.

The best part is that my doctor drew on my arm with a marker to be able to tell whether the infection spreads or goes down. This lovely drawing will be on my arm all week....which means I get to wear long sleeves all week in 80-90 degree weather. Oh yeah....I took a nap this afternoon and the stupid marker transferred to my sheets. Good thing they are white and can be bleached!. Seriously.....
