Chicago

The second I got back from Chicago, I was in the kitchen making 225 tulip cookies which resulted in a major delay in posting about my trip to Chicago.

The trip was so much fun and most importantly I was able to spend quality time with friends. In addition to some site seeing and shopping, we went on an architectural boat tour, caught a show at Second City and watched the Cubs beat the Florida Marlins. We also ate at some swanky restaurants - Blackbird and Perennial and sampled Chef Vicky's cooking. I would highly recommend eating at Hot Chocolate and trying a sandwich at Pot Belly while visiting Chicago.

When it came time to post pictures from the trip, it was hard to pick out of 200+ pictures. So, if you are interested in seeing most all of the pictures from my trip, click here.

In the meantime, here are some highlights.

Cityline from the plane.

Your eyes will roll in the back of your head hot chocolate. No exaggeration. I didn't believe hot chocolate could do this to me until I tasted the first sip.

Vicky, me & Julie at Perennial.

Shopping. Julie was the lucky duck carrying a Tiffany's bag. I resisted!

The Bean!!!

And....Wrigley Field. The game was probably the highlight of the entire trip for me....!!!
