The Tree

I'm very excited about our tree this year. For the longest time, I just used blue and silver ball ornaments, but after adding sentimental ornaments over the last few years, it makes for a lovely little tree.

Jeff and I have a tradition of buying three new ornaments a year. One ornament symbolizes something that happened during the year - for instance this year be adopted Elliot, so we have a little Dachshund ornament. We also get a dated ornament from Pottery Barn and I get an annual ornament from Starbucks.

I couldn't resist when I saw this one. I thought for sure Elliot would get into the tree but she has been very good. Except I have to rearrange the tree skirt a couple of times a night!

This is a Hallmark ornament for the year we bought our house, as the home improvement projects were endless.....and probably my favorite ornament on the tree!
