Birthday & Baby Cookies

On the agenda for this week - a birthday and a baby shower.
Thankfully, the icing colors for both orders can overlap a little, which cuts down on some of the work.

The birthday is for a little girl in preschool. Her favorite color is pink, of course! These cookies were a little challenging...not because they are difficult but I made a mistake with the icing. I managed to make all three flood colors a little too runny. I was particularly upset with myself because I haven't made this mistake in quite sometime. Unfortunately, too runny of icing makes for a big mess and a lot of mistakes and redos. Another challenge for me is piping letters. I have not yet mastered this technique....
But in the end, I think the cookies are super cute! I just adore this collection and the color combination.

Tiara's were personalized with each little girl's name in the class.

The baby shower cookies are pink and cantaloupe orange strollers - 36 total.

Stay tuned for next week's big order announcement!!!

Those are really cute! And, it is so frustrating when the icing gets too runny. It happened to me just a few weeks ago, too. Grrrr!!! Did you try adding some sifted powdered sugar to it? This works, but it always makes me nervous!

Thanks Bridget! I would have added more powdered sugar but I had already piped the edges and adding more sugar would have changed the flood color slighlty. :( It can be challenging getting the perfect consistency!
