The calm before the storm

Jeff and I hosted Game Night at our house Friday night. The theme - Cuban! My inspiration for this meal came from an office potlock a couple of months ago. The food was so delicious.

For an appetizer, I made Giada's White Bean Dip. For dinner, I made the Columbia 1905 Salad from the Columbia Restaurant, Chicken Ropa Vieja and rice.

And of course, home made Mojitos!

Emily made Citrus Sour Cream Pie for dessert, which tasted just like Key Lime Pie. YUMMY!

After dinner, we played Wii bowling and Pictionary.

So, I have a confession to make. The girls at work and I play bingo. Yes, bingo. You read that correctly. We have gone a handful of times and I have to admit, it is quite a bit of fun. Bingo takes place at the Lions club and there must be 400+ people packed into this place. These bingo people are wild.....bingo is their life. We are the youngest group in the place and are there to have fun. Needless to say, the true Bingo players are not thrilled when we cheer for a winner within our group. In fact, they give us the evil eye. Oh well! Anyways....that is how I spent my Saturday evening. Unfortunately, none of us won a single bingo!

Sunday was the monthly Dachshund Meet Up.

Not only do the girls have a lot of fun, but it knocks them out the rest of the day. Yay for us!
