This extract is so potent....I made the mistake of dabbing some of my finger to taste it and couldn't get the lemon taste out of my mouth for hours!
I really didn't know how much to use, so I was very conservative. I added just enough extract to give the icing a hint of lemon taste. I received some good feedback today, so I will definitely use it again and maybe add a touch more next time.
I also decorated the ducks a little differently this time. Instead of dropping the eye and beak in the yellow icing while it was wet, I let the yellow icing set up and then apply. I like how the eye looks but not the beak so much because it doesn't flow very well. Oh well, lesson learned.

They're absolutely adorable. I'm puckering just thinking about the extract taste staying with you so long. LOL
Nice ducks. I did the same thing with natural raspberry extract. Good in the raspberry marshmallows, not so much on the finger.
Seriously, nice ducks!!
Hello, I came across your blog through google.
Do you sell your cookies? I am looking for the duck cookies - about 50 max.
I would not need them until Aug though.
Plus just wondering how much they are and how much shipping would be to NJ.
You can contact me by e-mail at makeitgrandetc at yahoo dot com
Thanks
Amy
